Privacy
Short version: most of what you type stays in your browser. We keep a form only after you check the consent box, and we never sell it.

Your rig
The make, model, year, battery, and roof numbers you save under My rig live in your browser's local storage. They aren't sent to us unless you also send a form that includes them. Press "Forget this rig" or clear your site data and they're gone.
Checklists
Checked boxes are saved in local storage on this device so you can pick up where you left off. Nothing about them leaves your browser.
Forms you send
Contact notes, installer requests, and build submissions are stored only after you check the consent box. On the live site they go to the site's Cloudflare database. If that database isn't connected, an installer request is kept in your browser instead, and the page tells you so. James uses them to reply to you and for nothing else. We don't sell or share them.
Please don't send passwords or card numbers. This site doesn't take payment. Amazon and Megawatt Merch run their own checkout.
Amazon links
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Buttons that say "Check price on Amazon" are affiliate links, marked rel="sponsored nofollow". Buying through one costs you nothing extra. Amazon sees the click and sets its own cookies under its own policy. Prices aren't stored here, so check the listing for the current price.

ZIP lookups
The solar forecast, the solar planner, and installer matching send the ZIP code or town you type straight from your browser to Zippopotam and Open-Meteo to look up public sunlight data. It doesn't pass through our server and we don't keep it.
Ask Megawatt and reminder emails
Both are switched off for now. Ask Megawatt turns on once an AI service is connected, and reminder emails turn on once an email service is connected. Until then there's no form to fill in and nothing is collected. When either one goes live, this page will say what it sends and where before it starts.
